Charitable Impact
Each winning team was awarded with trophy honors and the ability to name a charity deserving of a $250 donation in the team’s name.
Little Debbie Smack Cakes named TransYOUniting as their charity designation. TransYOUniting is a mutual aid non-profit, providing resources to Pittsburgh’s Trans Community. They provide a number of resources from Crisis Housing to food assistance while connecting trans people to numerous community partners.
Pegs Pals named Dreams of Hope as their charity designation. Through the power of the arts, Dreams of Hope provides the region’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, and allied (LGBTQA+) youth (serving ages 13-26) a welcoming environment to grow in confidence, express themselves, and develop as leaders.
Since 2015, Stonewall Dodgeball Pittsburgh has raised funds to help make wishes come true. The league is incredibly thankful for all those who supported the fundraising campaign this season. This season, the league added $2,000 by providing another donation to local wish kids through Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania. The total amount raised to date $24,600.
