With the fall 2022 closing of Arsenal Field in Lawrenceville and challenges securing a City of Pittsburgh park with the Department of Public Works under the new 2022 rental policy, the bocce league of Stonewall Sports Pittsburgh will be relocating for the first time since bocce’s launch in 2016.
The 2022 season of 336 players will be held at Les Getz Memorial Park in Swissvale PA on Thursday nights starting at 6:30 p.m. on August 11, 2022. Players will have access to parking lots and neighborhood street parking, but with such a large number of players descending into Swissvale, carpooling is always encouraged.
Players can look forward to visits from local food trucks at the park.
The Bocce After Dark series of post-game adventures will continue, but with localized and varied locations all over the area.
