The summer bowling league session kicks off on Tuesdays beginning May 26, 2026 at Bowlero Pittsburgh and lasts through August 4. Registration will open to all participants on Tuesday, April 21 at 7 p.m.. Team Captains receive early registration access starting at 12pm noon. All registration takes place online via the LeagueApps portal.
After receiving 206 responses to our survey of summer input, the Commissioners of Bowling aren’t able to meet the quota to conduct a summer season at Miracle Lanes. However, the east league will return in the fall. Early bird, discounted registration for fall bowling at Miracle Lanes will be open in early May.
Back by request, the “challenger” division will be offered with a special approach to the summer season schedule. In this division, team’s can opt-in to dynamic scheduling based on the weekly standings. Every single week the lane pairings will be: 1st place vs 2nd place, 3rd place vs 4th place … etc.
If you reach the top – can you withstand the pressure from your closest “rivals”?
With 7 points up for grabs each night, the standings could change rather quickly!
Could you bowl the same team more than once? Yes, if they are still the closest team to you in the standings.
The challenger series poses one simple question: Can your team withstand the season-long challenge and stay at the top of your game?
If that seems like too much pressure to perform, or the team is simply not interested? Don’t worry! The “classic” division with traditional round robin scheduling is still offered. Scoring and handicap remains the same in each division.
Team captains will select to play their team into either “classic” or “challenger” divisions during registration.
A Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) pre-registration period for underrepresented groups (POC, trans/non-binary, people with disabilities, and other marginalized groups) will take place one day early starting April 20. Due to technology limitations, DEI Captains are asked to wait for captain early access.
Registration will close to all players on May 1 and any player not paid in full by that time will be considered ineligible thereby forfeiting their spot in the league.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
TEAM CAPTAINS
Team Captains will have a special registration window of 12pm to 7pm on April 21 as an opportunity to initially establish the team. At 7pm, team players and free agents will be able to register and be recruited by the team captains. Captains are wholly responsible for accepting incoming player requests or recruiting from the free agent list to add to their team roster.
What if the captain is unavailable on registration day?
Allow a fellow team member to register as captain and perform registration day responsibilities. To re-assign the role of captain to a different rostered member after registration closes, email bowling@stonewallsportspgh.org to have the roles updated.
CAPACITY
This season is limited to 36 teams with 6 players maximum. A team is considered complete when a captain and a minimum of two (2) additional team members have paid in full. Once the 36th team has completed this step, all incomplete team captains and players will be defaulted back to the free agent list.
Free agents looking to connect with team captains are encouraged to do so via our league Facebook group.

Starting in fall 2026, the league start time will be updated to 7:05pm practice, 7:15pm start time.
League announcements & drawings will occur at 8:45pm and the timely play clause (when 3v3 is enforced) will be 9:15pm.

PLAY IT FORWARD CAMPAIGN
Prospective participants are welcome to take advantage of the Play-It Forward Fund to apply for a reduction of registration fees. The fund supports our Stonewall community by offsetting registration costs with the belief that financial access should not be a barrier to participation in our leagues or programs. Bowling participants can apply for these funds until April 19 at 11:59pm. All registrants will be asked to consider donating $5 into the fund to support future applicants.
